My company uses SharePoint Foundation 2010 for document management. After I check out a document and am editing it in Word, I often want to know its full pathname + file name (useful for sending someone a link to the document). But when I go to Prepare > Properties > Locations in Word, it lists the location of the file's local copy in my 'SharePoint Drafts' folder, rather than its location on our SharePoint server, which is what I want. Presently I have to re-open SharePoint, search for the document, then copy the link from the search results list, which is fussy.
Is there a way to obtain the file's SharePoint location from within Word?

Strange, mine returns the UNC path. . . I wonder if it depends on the way it is setup. Not a sharepoint hack myself. . . – surfasb Jul 29 '11 at 0:30
