I've recently got back into playing some PC games (mainly indie - I've been playing Minecraft, VVVVVV and Super Meat Boy mainly) however, yesterday I started to have a few problems while playing any kind of game.
If I'm inside a game, the keyboard either chooses not to work at all, or it registers about 1 out of 1000 key presses (I have no idea why). I can type completely normally outside of games and can complete all tasks as per usual. I've also tried using another keyboard (the previous one was USB and this is the old-fashioned purple connector) and am having exactly the same issue.
Obviously this indicates a software problem somewhere, but I have no idea how this could have happened and/or how I could fix it.
I also managed to get this temporarily fixed yesterday by messing around with different ports and uninstalling/reinstalling drivers several times until it worked, however on restart I am having the same issue.
I've seen various bits on the internet of people with similar/the same problems however none are conclusive. Could anyone help me with this?
