I built an HTPC / home server with a e-35m pro from Asus. Unfortunately, it makes an annoying amount of sound. It uses a 60mm fan to cool the CPU (an AMD Fusion). It also has a 120mm casefan. The hard drives is a 2TB WD digital green. I'm going to install a 32 GB SSD so I can spin down the 2TB drive when it isn't being accessed for files.

Will I be able to replace the 120mm fan with a noctua fan at slow speeds (ultra silent) and just remove the 60mm fan? I'm hoping the CPU is good enough to stay passively cooled.

Are there any cooling blocks that would fit this motherboard that would be able to do passive cooling?
