I have a search tool (SearchBlox) sitting on a remote server and want to index a folder (and documents) on a Windows XP machine. How do I:

  • Make the directory accessible via the web?
  • Password protect the directory?

Ultimately, I want to be able to search the contents (full text search too) of the directory from anywhere. The search tool is indexing various websites for me, but I've no idea how to index a directory on a local machine.
