I have a Plantronics headset that does not behave properly when turned off and on again. Tech support at Plantronics told me that I need to use their BT dongle to be able to get through their support, but I don't want to buy another one ...

I found that if I perform the following steps after turning the headset on, everything works again:

  1. In the BT Places Panel, disconnect the device
  2. Delete the device
  3. Add the device again (via the "Add a BT device" option). No need to enter the password,as it has been already registered.
  4. Connect the device in the BT places Panel

Now I want to automate that via the command line or powershell ... any hints?
