I've been using openNMS for a few weeks now and for the most part its been working out quite nicely. The only problems I'm running into at the moment is that a) openNMS sometimes floods the interfaces with requests to the point that interfaces stop responding to requests, so I want to be able to set an interval that openNMS uses as a counter for when to send requests. b) If a single request goes unanswered openNMS reports the node as down and sends a email to the network administrator. I want to be able to have openNMS report a downed interface or service only after it has not responded multiple times sequentially, not just once.
Does anyone know how to set these preferences in openNMS?
