I'm having some issues with my current Zotac 9600GSO card. Have just seen http://www.ebuyer.com/240886-asus-geforce-g210-silent-512mb-ddr2-dvi-vga-hdmi-out-directx-10-1-en210-silent-di-512md2-lp- and thought about getting 2 of them as they're quite cheap.

Key things for me are

  1. I need dual DVI (true) output for this to work with my ATEN 1642 KVM
  2. I'd like it pretty quiet

This is my development machine, I don't do anything graphically heavy like play games or rendering - I use it to write code and watch films etc.

System is Win7 64bit on an i7 950, 12GB Corsair Vengance, 60GB OCZ Vertex2, Gigabyte X58A-UD3

You can probably pick up a card with dual-DVI output for less then double the price of that card, but IMHO, with a machine like that, you should spend at least a hundred or so on a card... It'll make your whole computer seem faster (esp. with Aero and watching movies). – Breakthrough Aug 5 '11 at 20:10
I would go with this one (from that site you listed), it will be fairly quiet and has dual-DVI output right in it. Plus, it will be perfect for hardware-accelerated Aero effects and hardware-accelerated video encoding/decoding. As an aside, hardware recommendations are not on topic for SuperUser, so I am voting to close this question. – Breakthrough Aug 5 '11 at 20:12
