When I use the capacitive touch buttons to change/mute/unmute the volume on my HP 6515b, the on-screen notification showing the current volume in a progressbar doesn't display anymore. I have tried re-installing the HP Quick Launch driver several times but to mo avail. This problem started off when my touch buttons didn't respond at all. I solved this by turning the laptop off, removing the battery and pressing the Power button for 30 seconds. Now the touch buttons for the volume does work, but without the notification progressbar. How to get this back?

I know that HP computers need to have the HPQ driver+program open. Also try looking at "3RVX" matthew.malensek.net/software, it is a replacement volume notification system that is skinnable. – DavidChenware Aug 7 '11 at 11:50
