I have Windows 7 with iis 7.5 installed. Should MSXML be installed to be able to load web pages this simple web page?

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html lang="en-US" xml:lang="en-US" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>

<script type="text/javascript">
if (window.XMLHttpRequest)
  {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari
  xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest();
  //xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
  }
else
  {// code for IE6, IE5
  xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
  }
xmlhttp.open("GET","cd_catalog.xml",false);
xmlhttp.send();
xmlDoc=xmlhttp.responseXML;

document.write(xmlDoc);

x=xmlDoc.getElementsByTagName("CD");
/* i=1; */

function displayCD(i)
{
artist=(x[i].getElementsByTagName("ARTIST")[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue);
title=(x[i].getElementsByTagName("TITLE")[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue);
year=(x[i].getElementsByTagName("YEAR")[0].childNodes[0].nodeValue);
txt="Artist: " + artist + "<br />Title: " + title + "<br />Year: "+ year;
document.getElementById("showCD").innerHTML=txt;
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="displayCD(2)">

<div id='showCD'></div>

</body>
</html>

These don't create the XML object.

xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); //xmlhttp=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");

If there is no additional software installation needed. What else could prevent the XML object from being created?
