I have an IMAP account set up in Outlook 2010, using Windows 7. The account file is pointed to C:\Users\me\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\myemails.pst.

My problem is very simple, nevertheless I am unable to find any reference to anyone having the same problem:
When I start Outlook, it keeps creating two files, myemails(1).pst and myemails(2).pst. Should I delete one of the two files, it creates it again. It's not duplicating my original myemails.pst file because these two files are empty.

But the most annoying part is that sometimes the file associated to my account is changed. For example, it writes emails to myemails(1).pst and not anymore to myemails.pst.

I have tried to totally delete the account and the files, start all over again but the same problem happens.

Do you guys know any solution to that?
