Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I've been working on a dashboard application and I realized that the new iOS 5 notification center looks exactly what I was looking for.

I am not going to clone the whole UI, I just need to know how to make an inner shadowed rounded box just like the weather widget in notification center. Here's what I am trying to do:

enter image description here

You can see the rounded box of the lower 2 widgets (Weather and Stocks), which has some inner shadowed 3D look.

I know it must be something really easy, but after I tried tons of combinations of effects, I gave up. I can't make something that look like this.

This is really more of a question on using effects in Photoshop than it is designing a UI. –  Philip Regan Aug 11 '11 at 13:38
