I'm totally confused. I have a ubuntu guest, and win7 host. I can see the guest in my network, they are in the same workgroup.

When I try to access windows says: "cannot access \UBDEV". From Ubuntu guest I can access internet, and even other home network computers via the workgroup.

This was working perfectly for the past 12 months. I've since moved house and now it isn't working and I have no idea where to start. I've tried quite a few things, assigning new ip, using static, using dhcp, turning off all firewalls.

Thing is, I know everything is configured correctly because it was working at my old house. The only thing that has changed is the internet connection.

Any ideas?

Have you tried accessing the share via the other system's IP address? – user48838 Jul 30 '11 at 1:09
