I'm dealing with a slow connection (around 0.37 download on SpeedTest.net) which for some reason will not load CSS files, images, flash and scripts for certain websites (Facebook, most crucially). The ISP's advice amounts to run their speed-test (which blatantly lies) and fiddle the MTU (which I have done).
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do to help this? I've tried using Opera Turbo which appears to help a little, but often the connection is so poor it loses the connection to Opera. Are there any changes I can make locally to help this?
