I am using my laptop at work. To get online, I first need to connect to an unsecured wireless network. The only reachable address in that network is that of our VPN gateway. I then have to log in to the VPN using my login credentials.
I want to automate the process. Whenever the unsecured WLAN is available, I want to automatically connect to it, and then automatically have the VPN connection window pop up, allowing me to log in to the VPN.
There are some other networks in the area which use regular WPA. I also have credentials to those, and Windows always connects to those first, which is really annoying. I would like Windows to at least prefer the unsecured WLAN, but I can't make it do that.
I am using the built in Windows VPN support.
