I have 2 machines, Windows XP and Windows 7. I connect to Windows XP machine with remote desktop and want to use smart card reader whats connected to my windows 7 machine in there. When creating remote desktop connection i selected the Smart Cards under the Local devices and resources. But the smart card reader wont appear in windows xp machine device manager.

Is this even possible and how i could manage this?

EDIT: When i check the Drives under the Local Devices and resources then my drives on Windows 7 machine appear in the windows xp machine. So i expect same should happen with smart card reader..

What happens if you run "net use /smartcard" in the cmd prompt on your remote PC (other end of the rdp session)? – Windos Aug 15 '11 at 11:03
@Windos: when i do the "net use /smartcard" on the xp machine i get this: img820.imageshack.us/img820/1346/regiony.png – hty8a Aug 15 '11 at 12:20
