I recently installed this driver, but then later found it's not at all what I want so I want it gone :) I tried manually just removing the printer device that it installs, but the device reappears automatically seconds after deleting it. I tried to follow HP's instructions which say to go to Print Server Properties and remove the driver, but each time I get an error saying the printer is in use. I've tried stopping and starting the spooler service and this doesn't seem to help either.

Have you tried in safe mode? – wizlog Aug 15 '11 at 17:29
I haven't. That's a good thought. I'll have to give that a shot this evening and see what happens. – Kyle Aug 15 '11 at 18:06
Safe mode doesn't work. This doesn't allow you to access the Print Server properties. – Kyle Aug 20 '11 at 21:05

Yeah, sorry, I should have clarified, by "HP instructions" in the OP, this is what I meant. – Kyle Aug 15 '11 at 17:59
