I am running Windows 7 64 bit and VMware 7.1.3. I have OS X Lion pre-installed VMWare image. When I run that file I get something error like this Mac OS X is not supported with software virtualization. To run mac OS X you need a host on which VMWare workstation support hardware virtualization.. I even used Darwin Snow legacy.

To run mac OS X you need a host on which VMWare workstation support hardware virtualization.

Does this not give a small hint to the issue? You need a processor which has hardware-assisted virtulisation, so changing host operating system is not going to help. What sort of system are you trying to run this on (and specifically, processor).

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Core#Core_2_Duo Which One?. Also: some low-end Core 2 Duo models disable features such as Intel Virtualization Technology...so it won't be possible. – tombull89 Aug 16 '11 at 16:13
i got intel core 2 duo processor T6600 2.20GHz – nakib Aug 16 '11 at 16:41
After looking at the specification sheet ark.intel.com/products/37255 your processer does not have Intel® Virtualization Technology (VT-x) which is requried for hardware virtulisation and therefore means you cannot run your VM. You will need to upgrade your processer to do so. – tombull89 Aug 17 '11 at 7:19
