I have a 2010-era Macbook Pro 15". I also recently upgraded to Lion, and I'm a heavy user of VMWare Fusion 3.1.3 to run Ubuntu Linux 10.04.2 32-bit desktop (yes the computer is 64-bit but some code I work with was 32-bit specific assembly).

Twice since my Lion upgrade, I've run into situations where my:

1) my computer had gone into either sleep state or at least screen off

2) when i returned my compute to "on" state, aka by swiping the trackpad or hitting some keys, the keyboard wouldn't work.

3) the trackpad still worked, so i could shut down gracefully

My questions are:

a) Is there any concrete reason to suspect might be related to Lion?

b) Regardless, is there any way to debug this? Presumably there's not much I can do at the time

c) After the fact, is there a system log I could check to see if there were issues?

Any help would be appreciated! I've never had a keyboard problem like this. The last time I had input problems was on my old 2006-era Macbook 13" (thus, non-Pro). Toward the end of its lifespan, the trackpad would fritz and short the entire input system.
