How to edit the photoshop patterns?

I wonder if there is a possibility to edit the source image of the patterns from the preset manager in photoshop. On right click on a pattern the only options are Delete Pattern and Rename Pattern.

I am not 100% sure how to edit the patterns in Photoshop that come with Photoshop but here is a tutorial on how to create your own patterns so you might can take one and then re-create it, maybe?
