Screenshot utilities for Windows

We all have to take screenshots of our app's from time to time. I use printscreen and copy/paste it to paint and then crop only the desired part and then save it and then upload it. I am sure this process can be simplified to a couple of clicks - just crop/select the area on your screen and right-click and upload! Anybody know any app to do that?

For Windows 7 you can use the built in Snipping Tool

Start the tool, grab the bit you want and save that.

Snipping Tool

You'll still have to upload as a separate step though.

If you want to start this without accessing the start menu then something like AutoHotKey will allow you to assign starting the tool to any key combination you preferred.

Is there a way I can activate snipping tool using right-click or something? – progtick Aug 20 '11 at 21:22
@progtick - AutoHotKey seems to be the application of choice for starting applications. You'd assign it to what ever key you wanted. – ChrisF Aug 20 '11 at 21:26
