I have a macro which needs a button on the email composer in Outlook 2003. If I use the standard email editor in Outlook then this is pretty easy to do. However if I use Word 2003 as the editor then I'm unable to add the button to the toolbar to do this.

My searches with Google have been pretty unhelpful (often referring to later versions of Outlook) and the best I've found is a suggest to embed the macro into the normal.dot template. Ignoring the fact that I haven't the faintest idea how to do this, it sounds like that'll also put the macro onto any new Word documents. This is something I definitely don't want, the macro is only relevant for email.

Can anyone provide (or point me to) step by step instructions on enabling a macro in Outlook 2003 which uses Word as the default editor? Upgrading Outlook or turning off Word as the editor isn't an option I'm afraid.
