Zattoo offers peer-to-peer "real-time" streaming of television. The service is currently restricted to Switzerland, Denmark, Spain, Germany, Norway, United Kingdom and France, but is expected to expand to other European countries, then to Canada and the U.S. The Zattoo player is available for Mac OS X and Windows.

Tvu player gives you cable tv channels and works with 10.5. Check as well Livestation (has some issues with 10.4 but works ok with 10.5).Through recent google search I found Keyhole tv mac but there's not much there or of any interest. Not much on Octoshape or peercast. Veetle freezes.(I mean you can run it under google chrome if desperate but still some freeze)So the best bet is 1.Tvuplayer 2.Zattoo 3.Livestation 4.web-based ones like Justin.tv I use for live Polish channels or the one I like freeetv. Or, if you like Sopcast and TVants (tvants with some restrictions and redirecting the stream to WMplayer) under crossover which is less hassle than Parallels or the other one, but then again, some hang-ups and force-quits on running - not particularly for the aforementioned but in time you would like to be using it with other pc software. TVNOO also worked this way, at least for the channels I didn't need to register for. Never tried PPMate and TVKOO under Crossover though they are good ones. BTW, can't wait for Zattoo expanding to USA, you'll fancy then to buy a US VPN though Scandinavian tv is quite good as well,I used to watch it in d2mac back in days, not so much luck with getting Danish VPN though. There's also DTV/Miro and Vuze for free torrent contents, but that's not live. For newest series episodes I go to cucirca. UPDATE: This is a real deal and it's paid for: £17 to start with and then I believe £25 every 6 months. Works with Linux and OSX through Mozilla browser. 1TVPC.COM . They re-stream HBO to TVUPlayer to advertise the product and HBO is on for a long time now.
