I create a new RAID 1 volume using Intel RST from two 1TB HDD. I choose to have data on my old drive kept. Intel RST will start synchronizing its volume. Once it finishes, I do not see a new volume in Disk Manager nor My Computers. Only the original drive appears in My Computers.

Shouldn't I see a new volume which I will write into so that Intel RST will know to perform its RAID function?

Perhaps if you gave before and after photos this would make more sense - it's too sparse on details to be sure what you're seeing. What you should see in Disk Manager or My Computer is a single 1TB volume (this is the RAID1 array). – Shinrai Aug 26 '11 at 14:31
