One could use VLC player to record live TV - mms etc... the thing is sometimes due to buffering problem or whatever reason, downloading stops. It can be annoying to keep checking the size of the file to see whether it's increasing or not.
I was wondering if there is a way to make it try again the same mms link after a minute if buffering stops and come up with its own filename too.
I don't have to use VLC, any freeware is fine.
