To monitor my computer I run a program called GKrellM for Windows. It is essentially a long skinny window that has a bunch of charts of the status of your computer (CPU usage, RAM, network usage, etc). Like most monitoring programs for Windows, it prefers to dock to the desktop. However I would like to keep it docked to the side of the screen and always visible just like how I have it configured in Linux.

However there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this. The "Always on Top" feature doesn't work at all it covers up the current Window. A workaround that I'm using now is a program called "Adjust Work Area" which will resize the space available for a window to maximize in to a given value. It works, but the Work Area reverts back to the default whenever I accidentally click and slightly drag the task bar (easy to do since this is a tablet) or I bring the computer out of sleep mode. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to get it to be constant.

Is there a program or setting that I can configure to permanently set the work area to a custom value?
