I'm doing some video processing using OpenCV with a webcam feed. I know my webcam is compatible with Linux UVC because when I run cheese, everything works fine and I can see a live feed from the camera. When I'm capturing from my OpenCV application, I only get a live video when I hold the button on top of the webcam down. When I release the button, the video feed remains as the last video frame before the button was released. I have no idea what can be causing this and if there exists a workaround. Any ideas are welcome!
