I use a Dell mini-VGA cable, and I believe I slept with it connected in the middle of the night. I shut down my laptop by holding down the power button.
Now, when Windows starts up, it goes to the system restore screen and gives two options: "Restart normally" and "Launch repair." Both bring me to a black screen where I can only see the cursor and hear a clicking sound. I can't right-click or use Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the task manager.
What has happened to my computer, and how can I fix it?
