I'm trying to connect to my work VPN. As far as I can tell it's a standard Windows Server PPTP setup. My colleagues can connect properly, it appears to be just me. Also, I have an Ubuntu virtual machine running under my Windows 7 machine, that can connect. My Windows 7 machine always gives a 720 error after logging in and getting to the 'registering your computer on the network'.
I've tried most of what I can find with many Google searches including the 'netsh' reset with no success. One thing that has stumped me is many people talk about installing the RAS protocols, but I can't find any protocols to install. The only on available for installation is 'Reliable Multicast Protocol'.
Any ideas on what to try next?
Update: I got this working with a combination of: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810979 to delete the Wan miniport IP and PPTP drivers and http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itprovistanetworking/thread/427f8be7-941a-4e78-bf21-f94a257b3549 for the devcon information for reinstalling. Also, I had to download 'rasirda.sys' from a non-microsoft web site to get around a 'file not found error'.
