On one of my recent vacations, we took a lot of footage and a lot of "loopable" stuff to be used as live wallpapers, etc. What I'm looking for is a tool to help accomplish finding the right in and out points to make the loop, something which will show me maybe one of the videos semi-transparent so I can pick a frame later in the video which will help it loop properly. Does such a tool exist?
I'm on Linux, but a Windows tool would also be helpful as well. Does something exist to help facilitate this?
