I've installed Powershell 2, and the WinRM service on my Windows XP Machine. I've then followed the instructions here. As I recall the first time I tried Enable-PSRemoting, it ran through just fine. However when I tried to change the TrustedHosts value, I got an "access denied" error. Even though I'm running as a user with administrator rights, I am getting access denied. I've done the usual Googling and all the fixes that people have come up with still lead me to access denied. Not only that, but now if I try Enable-PSRemoting, or Disable-PSRemoting, I am met with another access denied error. This might be related, but since I'm using XP Home, I can't log in as "Administrator" because in XP Home you can only log into administrator account in safe mode, however, the account I am using does have administrator rights. Has anybody else had luck setting up powershell remoting specifically on XP Home?
