I have a large number of systems on my network that are being migrated to Win7/3DSMax 2012 over the next few months. Currently, the file paths (by default) go to a subfolder of each user’s My Documents folder which is stored on the network. I would like to reduce the network latency for when they render and have the paths changed to a locally-installed scratch hard drive.
I know how to change the paths for each individual user, but with so many people to visit within a short period of time, I’d like to automate this process for users who have the default paths set. Ideally, this would either be via an automated import of an MXP file before 3DS Max runs, or via changes in the registry (which I have not yet been able to locate)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
