For some reason, when I hit CTRL+T in Firefox (6.0.2) to open a new tab, Firefox opens a page at URL www.somoto.com, even though I configured Firefox to open www.google.com when I open a new page.

I don't know what www.somoto.com is.

Does someone know what www.somoto.com, and how to get Firefox to start off with www.google.com instead?

Thank you.

Look at the add-ons you have installed within Firefox. It might be one of those that changes your start page. This might be helpful.

Thanks for the link. I didn't find the apps it mentionned, but removing one fishy-looking add-on and restarting Firefox solved the issue. – OverTheRainbow Sep 18 '11 at 16:27
