I want to be able to send video to my television with touching the cables. However, when both devices are connected and active they both go blank. In fact, the PC refuses to boot properly. The only way I can get the monitor to work is to turn off the TV while all the cables are connected. In fact, I have not been able to send anything to the TV through the splitter.

My computer has a GeForce 7100 and my TV is a Panasonic P42G15, which is connected to the DVI splitter through a DVI/HDMI cable. Both devices are running at 1920x1080.

Splitting DVI then converting to something else, not a good idea. I don't even particularly like splitting a single video source in to multiple without something like a triplehead2go. – aking1012 Sep 22 '11 at 9:41
