After an automatic Windows Update (KB2532531, KB2529073, KB982018, KB2539636, KB2570791, KB2563227) and restart the OS, Google Chrome (GC) appears to render broken Asian double-bytes fonts (see below screenshots). I've tried to clean re-install GC but no luck. The issue only happens in GC, not Internet Explorer nor Firefox. I also have tried to do a system restore but it seems either none of these updates are the root cause or the restore can't revert the changes that make broken fonts.

Any idea which component in Windows may relate to this issue, perhaps TrueType fonts? Is there any way to reinstall or fix it?

PS: There is a way to work around with the broken font. Zoom in a couple times with Ctrl - + can make the font display normally. So if you look at below screenshots, the broken one has smaller size.

Seems to be a Chrome Dev version issue, according to Chrome Release Blog. – Stan Sep 27 '11 at 16:45
