I just cleaned PC and my CPU fan starts to spin at maximum speed sometimes (interval 1 minute). CPUID Hardware monitor shows about 50 - 89 system temperature (I know that it isn't possible). CPU temperature shows 25°. What happened with sensor? BIOS settings doesnt affect anything.

Edit
After reasetting CPU heatsink everything back to normal. But still what was the problem, maybe dust?

if there's no proper contact between cpu and it's heatsink, it won't work ok. Causes: simple "space" filled with air, bad thermal resine (? don't know the name in english, that kind of "glue"), bubbles in the thermal "resine", etc – woliveirajr Sep 29 '11 at 14:24
