Sorry, but shopping questions are off-topic as explained in the FAQ. You do know that you can run Windows on Apple hardware though, right? – nhinkle Oct 2 '11 at 3:19
nhinkle: Is there another forum where I can ask such question? Also, not everyone can afford Apple prices :-) – Ashwin Oct 2 '11 at 3:22

Stack Exchange is a Q&A network, not a forum. Shopping recommendations are off-topic network wide, for the reasons explained on the Stack Overflow Blog. There are other, unrelated forums out there on the web which do shopping recommendations. You might want to check out notebook review forums... there seem to be a lot of active users there to discuss what laptops to buy. – nhinkle Oct 2 '11 at 3:38

Just to clarify, it's not an unreasonable question to wonder. I'm sure others have pondered the same thing. It's just not a good format for this site's format. Sorry. – nhinkle Oct 2 '11 at 3:39
