I am using a dial up connection from my mobile to connect to internet. The connection is made perfectly: I can see data packets received, etc. I can even update various software, e.g. anti virus. The problem is I cant open websites on any browser. The browser shows "connecting" for some time then shows "connection error."

are you able to ping sites on port 80? it could be some issue with the ISP blocking web traffic while dialing up. – kobaltz Oct 6 '11 at 4:34
I dont know how to ping but i can update softwares which means pc is recieving data. – pankaj kainthla Oct 6 '11 at 4:51
