I was wondering is their a way to disable a key on the keyboard. specifically the SHIFT key

The reason I ask this is that I spilled liquid on my machine, and the keyboard port on the logic board is dirty (even after cleaning it) I managed to get all the keys working, except the shift key is stuck down (and yes, I already replaced the top case) so when I type I get all caps and numbers are !@##$ and when I click items on the desktop it mass selects them

Hence why I was looking for some sort of UNIX command to load at boot up to potentially remove/disable the shift keys, any help would be great

I know this site is more dedicated to programming, but in some way a program/script might be able to resolve this situation...
