I am having issues booting up my HP 2133 (with a VIA C7-M ULV CPU). While the power is switched on, there is nothing on the screen (the LCD lamp is off), and the Capslock on the keyboard is unresponsive. I tried to plug in a monitor and an external keyboard, and they didn't work as well. That means it's not an issue with the screen or the keyboard.

Although the laptop fails to work, the temperature monitoring seems to be working fine as the fan's speed is adjusted according to the temperature.

I've tried to unplug the HDD and other stuff, leaving only the logic board with the CPU and the memory while booting up, but that didn't work. As it was pretty hot and was frozen when I shut it down the last time, I'm suspecting that the overheating has damaged its hardware.

At this point of time how can I confirm whether it is a overheating-related issue and how can I make it work again?

Thank you.
