I just bought 8GB RAM for my PC and it works fine, except that sometimes the video card won't boot up when I turn my PC on, or I get a CPU temperature warning. I also don't get the bleep after BIOS.

After booting a couple of times, it works fine. Any ideas?

Specifications:

Motherboard: ASUS P5Q
Processor: Intel E8600
RAM: 8GB (was 4GB, replaced all sticks)
Video: ATI HD 4850
2x SATA HDDs
DVD writer
PSU: 450w

Out of curiousity, how are your temps when it works fine? Have you run Memtest86+? – Breakthrough Oct 10 '11 at 12:35
PC works like dream when it boots up ok. Will try run memtest but i dont think it will show anything as theres no problem after it boots up ok. – ihateword Oct 10 '11 at 13:03
