I have win7 installed in C: drive. I want to install new programs to D: drive and I just want to change c:\program files folder to d:\program files but when I change it manually during installation it gives me file permission error while I am using Admin account.

How to resolve this problem?

If you changed the C:\Program Files to D:\Program Files, all/most of the programs on your Win7 partition wouldn't work. If you need program files for another OS, then just install that on D:\Program Files(You might have to manually make the folder on D 1st and then install the files into it). If you want additional programs ( say a browser, adobe, iTunes, ETC. you can install those on D:\ )

I would install important programs like a firewall / etc on C:\ though, if that means anything to you.
