Every time the router loses power ( like I move it, we lose power to the house, etc). It takes many many hours of factory resets and screwing with the cisco tools to get it to find the CM100 on the WAN interface.

I do the same thing again and again: factory reset, delete all caches, power everything down, disconnect everything. Connect coax to CM100, power to CM100, network to CM100, WAN and LAN to E1000, power to E1000, network to computer, turn computer on. Run cisco homeconnect. I usually have to do this 4-5 times before it finally finds the CM100. Am I doing something seriously wrong or is this defective hardware?

At any time I can connect any if the computers to the cm100 directly and get it online instantly.

I am running OS X on all computers.
