Whenever I connect my Iomega DVD writer to my netbook, it works, but if I remove the writer and connect it again, it is no longer detected; it says that the driver is already loaded. I have to restart my computer to make it detect the writer.
Is it okay to disable the device in the device properties so I can disconnect the device, then enable it when I want to connect it again?
I want to avoid having to shut down my netbook every time, but also want to be able to disconnect my writer after use.
