I have an Ubuntu 10:10 desktop VM running under a Windows XP VMWare player. I have been running it without a problem for several months. However, today it has suddenly started giving the following error in a Windows dialog:
Exception Processing Message 0xc00000a3
I can't even shut the VM down so that I can try editing settings. All I can do is force VMWare Player to close.
UPDATE
I manged to do an init 0 from a terminal that had focus when the VM started. This shut the VM down. I've restarted and all seems to be working.
