My Windows XP sounds some how got turned off. Games sounds are still on. Only Xp sound are off. How do I turn them back on ?

In Sounds & Audio Device Properties - Sound tab - It says: Windows Default If I click on the test sound it works and I get that sound. Is there a way of turning Windows XP sounds only on and off ????
