I've had this problem ever since Firefox 5. Whenever I get a new e-mail, the Gmail Manager has the little notification slide up from the bottom right with a snippet of the e-mail information. The problem is that it flickers (looks like lagging) as it shows up and as it recedes.

Problem with browser/addon (addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/gmail-manager) rather than with Gmail. Migrated to SU, but ultimately, it's the addon author who has to fix this. – ChrisF Oct 17 '11 at 8:06
