Possible Duplicate:
Fastest way to type in math formulas out of the box?

I've recently started studying computer science, and I was wondering, which program would you recommend
using while copying the lesson's material with ?
I need something that would be quick enough for formulas (Discrete mathematics).
But fast enough so I want start looking for symbols upon symbols for a simple formula.
It would also be nice if it could auto-synchronize with Google Docs (like auto-upload in case of crash).

Ended up using Lyx, working out better than I imagined, doing homework, writing every class and tutorial very fast without any paper. – Asaf Nov 9 '11 at 16:17

I think close to everybody writing formulae in CS (and physics and mathematics) is using LaTeX. The "pros" are indeed tex'ing lectures live. For most homework and theses at my university you're required using it.

I recommend hand-writing - still fastest on matters like complex formula and even simple graphics editing.
