I'm trying to change the spelling language for PowerPoint 2010, but the Language or Translate button is disabled so I can't figure out how to do it.

Any ideas?

Not positive, but I think you must add languages (File | Options | Language | Add ) before you can select them. The image link isn't working, at least not at the moment, so I can't see exactly what you're looking at. – Steve Rindsberg Oct 20 '11 at 18:23
The language button only becomes enabled when you have selected a text box. Not too sure why this is the case! – ringpull Mar 25 at 10:59
Easy: You can select different languages for each text box. – Daniel Beck Mar 25 at 11:19
Sure I appreciate that, but while having that sort of granularity is great, being able to set a default/global language would be handy. – ringpull Mar 25 at 11:56
