I have a Lenovo G460. It worked fine till yesterday, but suddenly I got a booting problem, with the error message:

Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 083)
Copyright(c) 1997-2000 Intel Corporation

Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Series v1.19 (08-10-09)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM.
NO bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key

I tried to use One Touch Key recovery disks, but it didn't work, and I'm even not able to install any other OS like Windows XP or Ubuntu.

When I changed the settings in BIOS from "AHCI mode" to "compatible mode" it works! I had installed XP and Windows 7. I notice a very low performance, so I want to install any Windows version in AHCI mode.

Have you installed the latest BIOS? The must recent version is from Feb 2011. Try to install it and then reset your BIOS settings. – Robert Oct 26 '11 at 9:02
