I have a Mac 10.6 using Microsoft Remote Desktop to Windows 7 Professional. The Windows 7 Professional is running VMware Player with a VM. The VM is CLI only.

Whenever my mouse enters the Remote Desktop window, the mouse disappears because the VM grabs it. VMware Player tells me to send a Ctrl+Alt to regain control.

I tried pressing CTRL+Option on my Mac with no success. I went to Remote Desktop and clicked Preferences. It says that Alt is represented by the Option Key (U+2325).

You could install whatever vmware calls their version of guest additions so you get seamless mouse integration. – aking1012 Oct 27 '11 at 23:01
i plan to do that as soon as i gain back the mouse. i'm out of town haha. might have to wait until I get physical access. – engineerchuan Oct 28 '11 at 2:19
sorry guys i fail at life. i had remapped my Ctrl key to Command. So when I was hitting the physical Control + Option, I was actually hitting Command + Option. – engineerchuan Oct 28 '11 at 6:29
