I have a Mac 10.6 using Microsoft Remote Desktop to Windows 7 Professional. The Windows 7 Professional is running VMware Player with a VM. The VM is CLI only.

Whenever my mouse enters the Remote Desktop window, the mouse disappears because the VM grabs it. VMware Player tells me to send a Ctrl+Alt to regain control.

I tried pressing CTRL+Option on my Mac with no success. I went to Remote Desktop and clicked Preferences. It says that Alt is represented by the Option Key (U+2325).

You could install whatever vmware calls their version of guest additions so you get seamless mouse integration. – Call me V Oct 27 '11 at 23:01
